This is a good starter for anyone wanting to learn Hebrew. It will give you understanding of the alef-bet, how to pronounce Hebrew and a limited vocabulary. It includes a tiny bit of grammar and little tidbits of information not usually included in starter books of this type. I don't like the way the way the information is arranged, but that's a minor aspect compared to the content. You'll get used to it fast enough. All in all, it's an easy book to cut your teeth on and a "no tears" way to learn the very basics.
